In an era dominated by digital feeds and fast-paced screens, bringing timeless wisdom directly to the campus is a breath of fresh air. Recently, PGGCG-11 College library took a remarkable step toward holistic student development by collaborating with the Ramakrishna Mission Ashram to host a special Mobile Van Book Exhibition right on campus.
The vibrant mobile exhibition brought an inspiring collection of literature centered on the life, philosophy, and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, alongside other spiritual and value-education texts. The response was overwhelming, with approximately 600 students participated enthusiastically exploring the stalls, leaf through the pages, and purchasing books that offer deep insights into character building, mental strength, leadership, and inner peace.
An initiative of this magnitude comes to life through visionary leadership and unwavering encouragement. We wish to express our profound gratitude to our esteemed Principal, Prof. Dr. Anita Kaushal, whose constant motivation and proactive initiative made this collaboration possible. Her belief in nurturing students not just academically, but morally and spiritually, continues to guide the library and institution toward meaningful milestones.
The exhibition served as a mobile sanctuary of knowledge, reminding students of Swami Vivekananda's core message: “Education is the manifestation of perfection already in man.” Seeing nearly 600 young minds eagerly engaging with books on self-belief, resilience, and national service was a true testament to the timeless relevance of Swamiji’s teachings.
The library extends its sincere appreciation to the monks and representatives of the Ramakrishna Mission Ashram for their wonderful cooperation and to our vibrant student community for making this event a resounding success.
