BOOK EXHIBITION ON GANDHI JAYANTI
Gandhi Jayanti is an event celebrated in India to mark the birth anniversary of Mohandas Gandhi, born on 2 October 1869. This day is celebrated in the honor of the birthday of the Father of the nation, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Internationally this day is celebrated as the International Day of Non-Violence as Gandhiji was the preacher of non-violence. He is a symbol of peace and truth.

Book exhibition was organized in the library on this eve of Gandhi Jayanti. Books on Mahatama Gandhi were exhibited in English, Hindi and Punjabi Language . Students showed great interest in this exhibition.

LIBRARY COMPETITIONS
Library Department of Post Graduate Govt. College for Girls, Sector-11, Chandigarh, organized a series of competitions on 20.02.2019 like Slogan writing, Book jacket making, Book hunting and Reference hunting. The main aim of this function was to create awareness and inculcate reading habits among the students and the use of library. Nearly 100 students participated in these competitions. Prof. (Dr) Anita Kaushal, Principal of this college distributed prizes to the winners.
