LIBRARY IN DIGITAL ERA.

                                    RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION (RFID)

RFID is an acronym for “radio-frequency identification” and refers to a technology whereby digital data encoded in RFID tags or smart labels (defined below) are captured by a reader via radio waves. PGGCG-11 Library has adopted this technique in 2017 to provide better services to its students and staff.




RFID SECURITY GATE:
              Security gates are placed at entry and exit of the library to keep check on unauthorized books going outside. It has a read range Up to few meters.

KIOSK:

RFID enabled self check-out system is an independent touch screen based kiosk for borrowers to perform issue-return functions on their own and easy to operate.

 LIBRARY SOFTWARE : LSMART

Circulation related  all the work such as patron record, issue return of books, reservation of books, query related to books and patron, is done in the LSmart software connecting with RFID system.
